UPPER DIR: Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla on Thursday said that Punjab was going to benefit from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) at the expense of smaller provinces, while Asif Ali Zardari had initiated the project so that Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) could reap the benefits, reported a local media outlet.
Senator Najamuddin Khan, Arifullah Khan and Behramand Tangi were also part of the congregation that Mandviwalla was addressing in Lowari House.
Zardari wanted to initiate mega projects so that people from Balochistan and KP could get jobs, he added. He also claimed that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would maintain the rights of KP and Balochistan while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was infringing upon them.
