CJP says there is a need to bring reforms in judicial system

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has said that there is a need to bring reforms in the judicial system, as provision of justice is the basic responsibility of judiciary.

“An advance judicial system is inevitable to dispose of money-laundering and cybercrime cases,” he said while addressing the eighth judicial conference here on Friday. He said that the provision of indiscriminate justice was ensured in the Article 37 of the constitution.

“Justice plays pivotal role in the prosperity of the nation,” he said. The chief justice said that justice also helps to gain benefits of economic prosperity. He said that the judiciary played important role in steering the country out of challenges. Provision of timely justice to the common man was the need of the hour, he said.

Justice Saqib Nisar said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was a project of socio-economic development between Pakistan and China, therefore, all the aspects should be kept in consideration to get benefit of it.

The chief justice told the audience that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would enhance foreign investment in the country. He said that the constitutional matters regarding it should be kept in mind.
