After weeks of speculations, Sonam Kapoor is all set to tie the knot with long-term beau Anand Ahuja on May 8 in an intimate wedding in Mumbai.
Earlier this week, the Kapoor and Ahuja families finally put a rest to all speculations and rumours with an official announcement. Preparations for the Bollywood wedding of the year are already underway and the Kapoor house has been decked up with lights and wedding decorations.
To mark the festive occasion, Madame Tussauds in Delhi has restyled Anil Kapoor’s wax statue. The father of the bride has been dressed in the typical Sikh wedding ensemble complete with a pink turban. The statue has a jubilant expression with his arms spread out and it definitely resonates with Kapoor’s excitement.
Meanwhile, Anil is currently preparing for the sangeet ceremony with full force. According to Filmfare, a source close to the family informed that the actor will be doing a special performance on his song Gallan Goodiyan and My Name Is Lakhan with his good friends Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher.
The source said, “Anil is ecstatic about his performance on Sonam and Anand’s sangeet. He will perform on two of his favourite numbers – Gallan Goodiyan from Dil Dhadakne Do and My Name is Lakhan from Ram Lakhan. It will be more fun because Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher will also be joining Anil.”
Sonam and Anand have been dating for some years but it is only since a few months that they have been open about their moments and travel diaries together on social media.
