MANCHESTER: One of the best football leagues, English Premier League (EPL) was initiated in 1993 on this day today, and Manchester United became the first champions of the tournament.
EPL on its official Twitter handle shared the short video of the final match, played between Manchester United and Blackburn.
The first goal of the final was scored by Blackburn’s Kevin Gallacher in the 8th minute of the game. Ryan Giggs scored the equaliser from United through a free-kick.
United’s Ince scored a field goal and gave his team lead and Pallister extended the lead to 3-1 through “what’s probably the last free-kick of the match”.
