NAROWAL: A teenager who allegedly raped a minor girl has been arrested after the victim was admitted to district headquarters (DHQ) hospital, according to a local media outlet.
The alleged perpetrator is a cousin of the victim and indulged in the crime after taking the six-year-old to a farmhouse nearby. As a result, the minor was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
The family found the missing minor from a farmhouse after which they took her to DHQ hospital. Hospital staff collected samples and initial medical reports revealed that the minor had been raped.
The alleged victim’s father said, “The suspect is pressurising me to reach a compromise and I’m not getting justice.”
Zafarwal Police Station booked the perpetrator under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and arrested him.
