JK Rowling responds to 12-year-old girl in Indian-held Kashmir: report

SRINAGAR: A 12-year-old school girl from Indian-held Kashmir got a response from JK Rowling on Twitter after her teacher tweeted pictures of her essay, reported a local media outlet.

Haji Public School’s Kulsoom Bano declared JK Rowling as her favourite author in an essay on April 19.

The seventh grader’s teacher tweeted pictures of the essay followed by a re-tweet from the school’s director, who tagged the Harry Potter series author. Rowling responded via Twitter and asked for Kulsoom’s full name so she could send the student a gift.

JK Rowling had gifted signed copies of the entire Harry Potter book series to an 11-year-old Syrian girl in 2016.
