Bollywood producer and husband of late Bollywood superstar Sridevi, Boney Kapoor is expected to make a feature or a documentary on his wife, and if reports are to be believed, he has already registered titles for the same.
Kapoor has reportedly short-listed three titles: Sri, Sridevi and Sri Ma’am and has registered them with the movie registration department of one of the producer associations of Bollywood. However, though the producer accepted that he has registered three titles, he refused to detail on them.
“There are plans to make a film, but I can’t tell you whether it will be a biopic or documentary. I don’t see the need to rush into anything.”
Sridevi died under mysterious conditions on the night of February 24 in a Dubai hotel, while in the city to attend a family wedding. According to reports, the actor drowned in her bathtub even as Boney waited in their hotel room. They were to go for dinner together. An investigation by authorities in Dubai concluded that Sridevi’s end was a case of accidental drowning resulting in death.
The actor’s mortal remains were cremated in Mumbai, surrounded by friends, family, industry veterans, well wishes and scores of fans on February 28.
Sridevi started out as a child actor in Tamil films at a tender age of four. She went on to work in a number of films in all four south Indian languages, before making it big in Hindi films. Some of her biggest hits include Mr India, Chandni and Chalbaaz among others.
