UTTAR PRADESH: In another extremist incident against Muslims in India, right-wing extremists in Uttar Pradesh reportedly forced a converted Mulsim to denounce Islam.
According to a foreign media report, the man converted to Islam which was enough for the extremists to attack him. They shaved off his beard and forced him to renounce Islam.
They also made him pledge to remain a Hindu throughout his life, the report added.

The extremists belonged to the Hindu Nationalist Bajrang-Dal, who see India as a Hindu nation and have ties with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The report further said that since Modi became Prime Minister in 2014, violent attacks against Muslims have increased in India.
