Pakistan pacer Rumman Raees has braced himself to play Caribbean Premier League (CPL) after recovering from his injury.

Taking to social media, he said, “Can’t wait to wear the blue and yellow of @StLuciaStars and become a St. Lucian. Really excited to play in the upcoming @CPL #StarsRiseAgain.”

The 26-year old, who will represent St Lucia Stars in CPL, was dropped from the national squad for Ireland and England tour. The injuries kept him out from the equation of getting selected for the national side. Rumman will have a good preparatory time before the commencement of the CPL 2018. The CPL will begin on August 8.

Rumman was last seen in action during the 2018 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He had turned up for the Islamabad United but had to bow out of the season midway owing to an injury. He is eager to get back on the field.

The Twitter handle of the St Lucia Stars confirmed the news in a recent update. In the tweet, they expressed their delight with the signing and hailed Rumman Raees as a bowling who has a plenty of tricks up his sleeve. They issued a warning to the batsmen of the opposition teams.

“Stars will present a real ‘star’ @rummanraees15 from Pakistan in upcoming @CPL He has plenty of tricks. Batsmen watch out!! #StarsRiseAgain,” St Lucia Stars confirmed in a tweet.
