KARACHI: A minor girl was electrocuted at her home in Landhi area of Karachi on Saturday.
According to rescue sources, the five-year-old girl, Naila daughter of Muhammad Tahir, received severe electric shocks from switchboard of her house in Landhi’s Mansehra Colony. As a result, she suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.
In another incident, a man was shot and injured by robbers on resistance in New Karachi area of the metropolis in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to rescue sources, two armed robbers riding a motorbike intercepted a 30-year-old man, Zakir son of Qadir Khan, but he resisted, upon which the robbers shot and injured him.
The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
