- Rs 12,527.618 mn allocated for 40 ongoing projects, Rs 11,680.236 mn for 71 new projects
- Four new police stations, model prison, to be constructed in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Federal government on Friday allocated Rs 24,207.854 million for 111 new and ongoing projects related to the Interior Division for the fiscal year 2018-19.
According to Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2018-19, the government has allocated Rs 24207.854 million for the next fiscal year, including Rs 12,527.618 million for 40 ongoing projects.
According to the documents, Rs 800 million has been allocated for the capacity enhancement of CAF-Management of western border by raising the headquarters of Balochistan Frontier Corps (South).
Furthermore, the government has allocated Rs 900 million for capacity enhancement of CAF-Management of western border by raising seven additional wings for Frontier Corps (South). The amount of Rs 616.794 million has been allocated for the construction of accommodation for three wings at Hashim while Rs 657.928 million has been allocated for the construction of accommodation for Abdullah Shah Ghazi Rangers in Karachi.
In addition, the documents stated that government is constructing a model prison in Islamabad’s sector H-16 and Islamabad General Hospital at tarlai with cost Rs 700 million and Rs 200 million.
The documents stated that the government will make four new police stations in various sectors, including G-11 Markaz, I-11 Markaz, D-12 Markaz and Shehzad Town of the capital with a cost of Rs 59.862 million.
The government has also allocated Rs 11,680.236 million for 71 new projects.
According to the documents, the government will spend Rs 1,000 million for the establishment of Anti-Riot Force consisting of 2388 officers and construction of accommodation for the officers.
As per the documents, the government will construct fifth Pakistan Coast Guards Battalion Omara for CPEC with the budget of Rs 250 million.
It was added that the government has allocated Rs 500 million for Islamabad Bus Service Project.
A hospital for Frontier Crops (South) in Turbat headquarters will cost Rs 450 million. Another hospital, this one for police, will cost Rs 1,000 million.
On the other hand, the federal government will construct Town Hall MCI House and other related infrastructure for Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad, including a residential complex for senior IOTA officer, ICT administration complex phase-II, roads of rural areas of ICT Islamabad, street pavement/sanitation in rural area of ICT Islamabad, according to PSDP.
