A cloud contains a large number of distributed computing resources connected via the internet. Cloud services are hosted in a data centre that can be accessed by companies or individuals using network connectivity.
According to NTC, the agreement will enable the IT and telecommunications service provider to modernize the country’s public-sector IT infrastructure. With VMware’s digital foundation, NTC will further expand the government’s capabilities in cloud adoption, enable greater innovation and easier access to cloud-based services, and deliver better and faster digital services for citizens.
The announcement follows the success of the first memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in September 2017, which enabled NTC to test VMware software to accelerate digital transformation within the public sector as part of the government’s Digital Pakistan Initiative.
