What’s wrong with cheering for your husband? Well, trolls you see, aren’t quite cool about the fact that Anushka Sharma sends love to her husband Virat Kohli and his team RCB, during the IPL 2018 matches. The pretty actress stood tall amongst the spectators, supporting and aggressively cheering for her better half as Royal Challengers Bangalore played against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bengaluru. However, besides the nail-biting contest, it was Kohli and Dhoni’s respective wives in the stands who hogged the limelight, reported Zoom.
South Africans AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock’s struck breezy half-centuries to power RCB to a mammoth 205/8 against CSK. However, despite Virat’s men going hammer and tongs, Ambati Rayudu in a partnership with MS Dhoni stitched together 101 from just 54 balls, getting the hosts to bow down in defeat. And with RCB’s loss, Twitterati, unlike the last match, she attended where RCB had won, started trolling the Bollywood actress massively, with some advising her to not visit RCB matches anymore.
The major highlight of an earlier match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab was the aggressive cheering by Anushka Sharma. The internet was in love with the actress returning the favour and sending her love through an adorable flying kiss. Took everyone three years back to India vs Sri Lanka match at Rajiv Gandhi stadium when Virat had blown kisses to his ladylove! But clearly, this time wasn’t the same as Virat Kohli’s troop lost to MS Dhoni’s boys.
Professionally, Anushka Sharma is busy filming Aanand L. Rai’s Zero along with Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and is also shooting for Sui Dhaaga opposite Varun Dhawan. According to a report in Mid-Day, Anushka, who turns 30 on May 1, will ring in her birthday with Virat Kohli and family by her side, in Bengaluru.
