Govt criticised for ignoring diversity in draft education policy: report

KARACHI: Speakers, during a conference at Karachi University, criticised the current education policy as well as the draft of National Education Policy 2017, mentioning that the government ignored the basic principles of religious freedom, inclusivity, and diversity, reported a local English newspaper.

The conference titled ‘Right to education without discrimination’ was organised by the Centre of Social Justice (CSJ) in collaboration with the Pakistan Study Centre (PSC) of KU and Peace and Development Organisation (PDO).

The speakers from different sections of society with representation from media, government departments, textbook publishers, students, civil society, and academia.
