DARRA ADAM KHEL: At least six coal mine workers have died due to poisonous gas intake while working in a coal mine in Kala Khel area, situated on the border of FR Kohat and FR Peshawar.
Engineer FATA Coal Mines, Roshan Khan said that poisonous gas accumulated in the 10th coal mine in Kaley Khel, the bordering area of Darra Adam Khel in FR Peshawar.
Six miners died due to the intake of the poisonous gas. The bodies were pulled out and shifted to hospital for postmortem.
The mine is situated in an area of the frontier regions located adjacent to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Around 30 mines are situated in the area, where labourers mainly from Mingora in Swat, and Dir work.
