KARACHI: A new book on the life of Qandeel Baloch titled ‘The Sensational Life & Death of Qandeel Baloch’ by journalist Sanam Maher will hit the shelves on May 10.
One of the most anticipated works of the year, the book covers the life of social media model Fauzia Azeem aka Qandeel Baloch, who was dubbed as Pakistan’s Kim Kardashian.
The writer, Maher, announced the title and release date of the book on her Twitter handle on Tuesday.
“Bumper week for work announcements from me: So hello! She’s here – cover reveal! A story that has taken over my life for the last 2 years — a story not just about #QandeelBaloch, but about the place that created her and ultimately found that it had very little room for her.” she wrote.

WHO WAS QANDEEL BALOCH?
Qandeel Baloch emerged as the first Pakistani social media star, getting attention for her viral and sometimes controversial videos.
The book, which took two years for completion, explores the life of Baloch who was allegedly killed by her brother over ‘honour’.
Baloch shot to fame in Pakistan in 2014 after a video of her pouting at the camera and asking ‘How em looking?” went viral.
