PTI can solve 35-year-old problems in first 100 days: Ch Sarwar

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senator Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar claimed on Sunday that his party would resolve the 35-year-old problems of the country within the first 100 days of coming into power, adding that the previous rulers had failed to deliver.

Addressing an event conducted to commemorate the death anniversary of Allama Iqbal, the PTI’s core committee member said, “We (PTI) are with Constitution and democracy. We will not tolerate a delay of even one second in the 2018 general elections. Imran Khan will give a master plan of his first 100 days to the nation at Minar e Pakistan rally.”

Ch Sarwar added that the corruption of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and conspiracies against the institutions was an ongoing attack on democracy.

He said, “Corruption of PML-N and their conspiracy against institutions is an attack on democracy.”

“PTI is working in a real way as per the teachings of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam,” he argued.

Shafqat Mehmood, Justice (r) Nasira Javed Iqbal, and Waleed Iqbal were also present at the occasion. Shafqat Mehmood said, “PML-N has made a record of corruption and looting in the country. Today, they are chanting slogans of the sanctity of vote to befool the masses. People who looted the nation with both hands should not utter words like the sanctity of vote. Therefore, no drama of rulers will meet success.”

He added that Imran Khan had buried the politics of compromise of the PML-N and PPP. “PTI will win the elections and Imran Khan will become Prime Minister of Pakistan. Minar-e-Pakistan jalsa will prove that PTI is the most popular political party of Pakistan,” he stressed.

Nasira Javed Iqbal said, “Rulers who chanted the slogans of Jinnah and Iqbal looted the nation in the guise of democracy during the last 35 years. Pakistan must bid farewell to the corrupt rulers.”

“Corruption is the root cause of all the problems. Corruption has become a most vocal threat to Pakistan. PTI is implementing the principles of Jinnah and Allama Iqbal. PTI will make new Pakistan with the help of people of Pakistan,” Waleed Iqbal said.

Naeem Bukhari mentioned that the rulers regard democracy indispensable for them and whenever the nation wanted accountability, the leaders cover themselves in the guise of democracy.

Abrar-ul-Haq hoped that due to the war of change of PTI, corrupt people would eventually face accountability. “Pakistan is moving ahead towards the prosperous and developed country. Imran Khan will become Prime Minister of country and PTI will pull an impressive crowd in the April 29 rally,” he concluded.

The PTI will stage a rally at the iconic Minar-e-Pakistan on April 29. However, the district administration had refused to grant permission to the party for its public gathering.
