ISLAMABAD: At least two children died while five others were injured after a roof collapsed due to rain on Saturday.
The house was located in Ghauri Town of Islamabad.
The rescue teams reached the site and shifted the dead bodies and injured to the nearby hospital. The incident happened due to heavy rain in the city, the rescue officials said.
Meanwhile, the meteorological department predicted that Khanewal, Multan and Faisalabad districts will continue to receive the rain, while light showers are expected in northern areas of the country including Gilgit Baltistan.
The recent spell of the rain in Balochistan, Punjab and northern areas has wreaked havoc with flooding that blocked the link roads and also affected the power issue. The fresh rain also destroyed the crops in several areas of Punjab.
