RAHIM YAR KHAN: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed said on Friday that the threat of unconstitutional measures and power hungry aspirants will remain until the corrupt elements of society remain.

While addressing a press conference, Rasheed said that the AML will contest elections with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

He said that a Supreme Court judge was attacked twice in one night and that the district commissioner of Gujranwala was hanged from a fan and then the government claims that there is excellent governance in the country.

He also said that it was condemnable that there is a severe dearth of clean drinking water in the country which is giving rise to Hepatitis. He also lamented the fact that his mic in the National Assembly is turned off so his views could be muted.

Referring to the demand of a new province in south Punjab, Rasheed said that he had been demanding for the same ever since he was a child, as Punjab’s dominance can only be ended if separate provinces from it are made, he asserted.
