‘Sikhs love Muslims as much as they did before partition’: report

NAROWAL: The Sikh nation loves the Muslims as much as it loved them before the partition 70 years ago and it will not become the part of a conspiracy against Pakistan, reported by a local media outlet.

These views were expressed by the Sikh pilgrims who arrived here from India and other countries in connection with Baisakhi while talking to the media at Darbar Sahib Kirtarpur at the Samadhi of Baba Guru Nanak on Thursday.

The Sikh pilgrims from India, including Sarvant Singh, Suraj Singh, Diljit Singh, and Lal Singh, said: “The Sikhs love Pakistan as much as the Pakistani Muslims love Saudi Arabia because the founder of Sikh religion, Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was born in Pakistan and his Samadhi is also here”.

They termed it a matter of pride that the Pakistan government was looking after their Gurdwaras properly and expressed gratitude to it for this favour.

Gurmeet Singh, Diljeet Kaur and Rani Jay Kaur said: “We have visited Pakistan for the first time in order to pay a visit to the Darbar of Guru Nanak and we feel as if we are in our own country”.
