ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting was held here on Thursday with Pir Aslam Bodla in the chair.
The State Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb told the participants that the law allows channels to broadcast ten per cent foreign content.
She also informed the committee that a new channel ‘PTV Parliament’ would be launched and that the project has been included in the next year’s development programme.
Members of the committee emphasised that national culture and values should be highlighted in children’s programmes.
