Four of family burnt to death,10 scorched in Khairpur van fire

KHAIRPUR: Woman and children among four members of a family were burnt to death while 10 others were scorched as a van caught fire after gas cylinder explosion here on Thursday.

According to Khairpur deputy commissioner, a van carrying devotees from Ahmadpur to the mausoleum of Sufi Saint Lal Shehbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif caught fire in suburbs of Khairpur due to an explosion of the gas cylinder installed in it.

Four including two children and a woman were burnt to death while 10 others were scorched due to the blaze.

The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital where critically injured four individuals were referred to Karachi.
