PESHAWAR: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday took notice of the APS case currently languishing in courts and issued a notice to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government in this regard, according to reports.

Parents of the APS children had staged a protest outside the Peshawar registry of the Supreme Court (SC) and pleaded for justice from the top judge. They held pictures of the children and relatives who were killed in the attack. The parents of the victims also met the chief justice and informed him about their demands. The victims’ families demanded a judicial inquiry into the attack.

CJP Nisar answered their call and demanded an update on the progress of the case from the KP authorities.
