ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) speaker has invited MNAs Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtyar, Tahir Bashir Cheema and Makhdoomzada Basit Bokhari again to verify their resignations on April 20 (Friday) after they failed to appear on April 16 (Monday).
A statement issued on Tuesday citing media reports said that MNAs Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankvani, Ch Bilal Ahmed Virk, Bhawan Das, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtyar, Tahir Bashir Cheema, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, Makhdoomzada Basit Bokhari and Rana Umer Nazir Khan resigned from ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and joined other parties.
But as per record of the National Assembly Secretariat, only three MNAs have sent their resignations from their seats to the speaker, who invited them to verify the genuineness and voluntary character of their resignations on April 16, but they did not turn up due to which they have again been invited for the purpose on April 20 in the speaker’s office.
The other five MNAs have not yet sent their resignations to the NA speaker.
