Only two weeks into the Pakistan Surzameen Party (PSP) folds, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) lawmaker Wasim Hussain on Monday announced to abandoned PSP and rejoin MQM-P.
Earlier this month, he told in a press conference at the PSP headquarters in Hyderabad that he had defected MQM since “all its leaders were fighting one another to get control of the party for their own sake”.
However, the lawmaker elected from Hyderabad’s constituency NA-220 shifted his stance and said, “My soul is with MQM-P. I am committed to Mohajir politics because people in other provinces cast vote on lingual bases.”
He had earlier said that he decided to work from the platform of PSP, as it was the only party which was working for the welfare of the people of Karachi and Sindh.
