Three killed, one injured in separate gun attacks

KARACHI: Three people were killed and one other injured in separate armed attacks in different parts of the city in the wee hours of Saturday.

According to rescue sources, a 50-year-old unknown man was shot dead by unknown men near Nursery bus stop on Shahrah-e-Faisal. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, two unidentified armed men opened fire on a 40-year-old man, Ghulam Nabi, at his home in Rozi Goth of Surrjani town. As a result, he suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

In the third incident, two unknown armed robbers tried to loot a 32-year-old man, Asher Erfan, in North Karachi’s cycle market but he offered them resistance. As a result, they opened fire and left him dead. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy. A 20-year-old youth, Walid son of Yonius, was shot at and injured by unknown armed men in Baldia’s Mawach Goth. The injured was rushed to Murshid Hospital for treatment.
