KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam during his visit to Karachi here on Saturday. He laid a wreath and offered Fateha. He also noted his expression in the visitors’ books.
Talking to representatives of media outside the mausoleum, he said he is visiting Karachi for the first time after being elected as the president of PML-N and he has come here to pay glowing tributes to Quaid-e-Azam.
He said he has held meetings with delegations of lawyers, business people and office-bearers and workers of the party. He said we got an independent state due to great sacrifices of Muslims and the freedom movement led by Quaid-e-Azam.
He advised the nation to struggle to make Pakistan a welfare state. We should promise that we will leave no stone unturned to make Pakistan great and great country, and work jointly for the progress and prosperity in Pakistan, he concluded.
