CTPL inducts 250 traffic assistants

LAHORE: As many as 250 newly recruited traffic assistants joined City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) on Saturday to serve the public with commitment on the roads as a passing out parade was held at Syed Ahmed Mobin (shaheed) Police Lines in Manawan in which Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Capt (r) Amin Wains was the chief guest.

Lahore CCPO supervised the parade of the newly inducted traffic assistants while also lauding their capabilities and said that he was confident after witnessing the parade that these traffic assistants would play a vital role for the betterment of the traffic system in the city.

He also appreciated the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) and said that the provincial capital’s traffic police had become a smart outfit under the leadership of Rai Ijaz Ahmed while also announcing one lac reward for the master trainers. City SP Asif Siddique, Sadar SP Sardar Asif, Cantt SP Bilal Zafar and SP Headquarters Traffic Imtiaz-ur-Rehman were also present on the occasion.

In his address, the CTO said that the newly recruited 250 traffic assistants were ready to come on the roads and serve public with full commitment and spirit as they have gone through a rigorous training of one and a half month. “The master trainers deserve huge acknowledgement as they imparted training to manage the flow of traffic, departmental rules and regulations, ethics and other official information to these traffic assistants,” he said.

Moreover, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, water filtration plant, cafeteria for cops and a mosque have also been inaugurated by the CCPO in Manawan Traffic Police Line. “These facilities have been provided to the force after a tireless effort of six months as the work was completed on the war footings in order to provide best facilities to our force,” CTO said while adding that a barber shop would also be inaugurated in the police lines soon.
