Three labourers died as tractor trolley hit overhead barrier in Lahore

LAHORE: At least three labourers killed when a tractor trolley hit an overhead barrier loaded with bricks at Bhatta Chowk in Lahore in the early hours of Thursday.

According to media reports, the brick-loaded trolley was on its way to deliver the building material to a private housing scheme near Bhatta Chowk with three labourers sleeping on top of the bricks. The vehicle hit with an overhead concrete barrier as the driver misjudged its height and tried to pass through the barrier.

The police reached the site and arrested driver Muhammad Nadeem and confiscated the trolley. The deceased was identified as Nisar, Shahid and Sajid and were aged between 18 and 22.

The police stated that dead belonged to Kot Radha Kishan village near Raiwind. The bodies have been shifted to General Hospital for the autopsy.
