ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Shireen Mazari was once again in the limelight at the Lower House of the Parliament after her casual acknowledgement of the National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday.
Mazari had referred to the NA speaker as ‘yaar’ (friend).
The mood seemed to have continued onto Thursday as she Sadiq to stop female Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers from ‘choo choo’ (muttering and mumbling).
Sadiq had responded to the ‘yaar’ call by stating that Mazari is “a friend and like an elder sister,” but he interrupted her this time and ruled that “ladies including Mazari are not involved in ‘choo choo’.”
During the interaction between Mazari and the NA speaker, PML-N female legislators recorded a protest, however, the PTI lawmaker shrugged off the ruckus with her famous laugh.
