LONDON: Yulia Skripal, the daughter of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.

Yulia Skripal and her father Sergei Skripal were found unconscious on a bench on March 4 and quickly transferred to the Salisbury District Hospital. Investigation revealed that they had been poisoned by a toxic agent British officials believe was Novichok.

The 33-year old’s condition had been improving over the past week as she regained consciousness and began to speak. Her father’s condition is also reported to be “improving rapidly”.

Britain accused Russia of involvement in the attack but Russia denied any responsibility. The incident sparked a diplomatic row between Russia and the West that saw the largest expulsions of diplomats since the Cold War.
