ISLAMABAD: Following the orders of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (Drap), a commonly used cough syrup has been recalled from the market after it was learnt that stability data of the syrup was out of specification, reported a local English newspaper.
The syrup manufactured by Ms Novartis is commonly prescribed for cough and used across the country. The company has advertised that drug was recalled from market voluntarily.
It said that step was taken in line with the commitment to ethical practices and safety of the patients. The company further said that syrup was manufactured by a third party.
