Bahadurabad faction of MQM-P to decide Sattar’s future in party

KARACHI: The Bahadurabad faction of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has decided to determine Farooq Sattar’s future in the party by depriving him of all positions, media reports claimed on Monday.

According to media reports, a major decision was to be made by the party leadership on Monday. A meeting was held by the group to exchange opinion regarding the deposed Rabita Committee convener. Important leaders of MQM-P including Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui with Amir Khan, Kunwar Naveed, Faisal Sabzwari and Ameenul Haque attended the meeting.

It was said by the sources said that an important decision could be announced in an upcoming press conference where Sattar would be deprived of not only his position but all the powers.

It is believed that the Sattar’s intransigence is causing irreparable damage to the party.

With several of the party’s parliamentarians and office bearers jumping ship by joining PSP.

Sources told that the Rabita Committee noted that organisational set up was affected because of Sattar and the efficiency will be restored and preparations for the elections will be started.

Sources told that Rabita Committee has made hard decisions about Farooq Sattar as it felt that enough is enough. All possible efforts to make Farooq Sattar agreeable have already been made and remained fruitless.

Rabita Committee will concentrate on organisational work of the party after dealing with Sattar’s case, sources added.
