Sikh yatrees to visit Punjab gurdwaras, celebrate Baisakhi

LAHORE: The Sikh yatrees, during their visit to Pakistan on Baisakhi festival will visit all main Gurdwaras in the Punjab province.

Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) spokesman Aamir Hashmi told media that Sikh Yatrees would visit Janam Asthan, Nankana Sahab, and Sacha Sauda, Farooqabad, the next day, before visiting Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore on 18th and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, Narowal, on 19th.

He said that all arrangements including accommodation, journey, medical facilities and currency exchange had been completed.

He said that the local Sikh community, EPTB, and other officials would warmly welcome the Sikh yatrees on their arrival at Wagah Railway Station.

Soon after their arrival, they would leave for Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Hasan Abdal, where they would stay for three days, he added.

The central ceremony of the Baisakhi festival would be held at Gurdwara Panja Sahib on April 14 where the Sikh yatrees would perform their rituals.

It is pertinent to mention here that around three thousand Sikh yatrees would arrive in Pakistan from all-over the world on April 12, 2018, to attend Baisakhi at Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal.
