Police recovers dead body of abducted youth

HYDERABAD: The matter of the kidnapping and murder of a youth was solved as police recovered the corpse of 22-year-old Akram within the jurisdiction of Laksian police station.

Police said that the dead body of the accused’s brother Ghazanfar was found near the motorway some time ago. The accused suspected that his brother Ghazanfar was killed by Akram, the police added.

The police further said that two months ago Akram was abducted from the Bhagtanwala area of Hyderabad.

A special team, comprising of Inspector Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood Gondal and ASI Sarfraz Gondal, was constituted under the leadership of CIA DSP Chaudhry Tahir Warraich to inspect the case.

Following his arrest, accused Qasr Shah disclosed that he, with the help of his sister-in-law, kidnapped and killed Akram and buried his dead body under the sand in the river. Police then recovered the dead body.

Police took the dead body into possession and was investigating the matter.
