ISLAMABAD: Minister for Privatisation Daniyal Aziz has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is not against any institution, rather it has always worked for strengthening the institutions.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the PML-N leadership did not believe in the policy of confrontation as it believed in supremacy of law. The minister said the PML-N was in favour of accountability but it should be across-the-board and without any discrimination. Its leader Nawaz Sharif was not seeking any relief for himself, he added.
He said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were violating law of the land but no action was taken against them. The PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had locked down the office of the accountability commission, he added. Daniyal Aziz said some people were trying to create rifts among the party but it was still united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
