MULTAN: A departmental store in the Cantonment area caught fire a second time on Sunday morning.
Items housed within the store may have ignited the fire though uncertainty prevails over the exact cause, a district emergency oficer said. This is the second time within two days that the departmental store has caught fire.
The previous blaze was caused due to a short-circuit and burned for 16 hours. More than a dozen firefighters assisted by army personnel fought the blaze but the four-storey building caught fire again before the cooling process could complete. Reports suggest there was no loss of life in both incidents.
