ISLAMABAD: Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP), led by Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) and Stanley Foundation announced a fellowship program for journalists in 2018.

According to the programme, successful applicants will have the opportunity to attend two major climate change summits taking place this year. These include the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, United States, and the 24th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 24) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Katowice, Poland.

Professional journalists can apply for the fellowship to cover these conferences, said a press release on Thursday.

The fellowship will allow up to 20 journalists to cover the summits for their home media organisations, work with experienced journalists from around the world, and gain a multifaceted understanding of the climate change’s global impact.

Fellows will receive airfare, hotel, meals, transportation and other services.

Applicants must demonstrate an interest in the climate change-related issues and have a good command of English language while the deadline to apply is April 29, according to the release.
