LAHORE: A delegation headed by Slough Mayor Ishrat Naz Shah visited the office of Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) and held talks with OPC Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti.

Highlighting the performance of the institution, Bhatti said that OPC had emerged as an effective platform to help and facilitate the expatriates. On the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, OPC was working on fast track basis and so far 60 per cent of the complaints received from overseas Pakistanis had been redressed, he added.

While lauding the efforts of OPC, he said that the institution was playing a pivotal role in redressing the issues faced by expatriate Pakistanis and had won the confidence of millions of Pakistanis who were settled abroad. The OPC commissioner also informed the delegation about the investment opportunities in different sectors of the province and said that Punjab government had introduced business friendly policies to promote foreign investment in the province. A documentary about OPC was shown on the occasion and a question-answer session was also held.
