HARIPUR: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime wing on Thursday arrested a man posing a pir (faith healer) for allegedly sexually assaulting and blackmailing women.
According to FIA, the man, resident of Haripur, used to harass women who approached him for the solution for their problems. He would then use pictures and videos of those women to blackmail them.
Numerous videos have been recovered from the possession of the accused, FIA said. A local court handed the individual over to the agency on physical remand for seven days.
Cases of fake faith healers using their position to abuse, harras and blackmail women and men are not common in Pakistan.
