KARACHI: A District and Sessions Court here on Thursday granted physical remand of seminary teacher to the police in a case of raping and filming a minor female student.
Residents of Bengali Camp, Korangi, had handed accused a teacher at local Madrasa, to the police on Wednesday (yesterday) for allegedly molesting his minor female student and blackmailing her family.
The police produced him before the court of judicial magistrate (East),
The Investigation Officer (IO) told the court that the accused had been molesting the girl for four years. The IO said the accused also had made videos of such crimes to blackmail his victims and their families.
It was requested by the police to the court to grant a physical remand of the accused of further investigation.
The judicial magistrate accepted the request and handed the accused over to police on physical remand till April 10. The police had registered a case under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Earlier, the father of one of the victims had lodged a complaint against the accused of molesting his daughter and blackmailing him.
