KHAIRPUR: Two minor children died of measles in different areas of Khairpur district on Sunday.
A minor girl, Hanifan Mahar, aged 3, died of the disease in a village near Khairpur.
Pehlwan, 7, was hit by measles and died on Sunday in the village Jangho Wasan near Bozdar Wada. It was told that the measles was spreading rapidly in eight talukas of the district.
Twenty children are still suffering from the disease, but not a single team of the health department or the district administration paid any attention towards the issue. The villagers of the affected areas have appealed to the authorities to take action and send doctors to save the lives of these children.
