LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has returned to Lahore following his medical checkup in London.
The Chief Minister had gone on an 11-day visit for a routine checkup to the United Kingdom and will resume his duties today.
According to the statement by Government of Punjab, the newly elected Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president held video-linked meetings during the stay.
Shehbaz also inquired after the health of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s wife, and sister-in-law, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
Kulsoom Nawaz had gone to London in summer of 2017 for a medical check-up, after which doctors diagnosed her with lymphoma. Maryam Nawaz had at the time confirmed the development on Twitter.
