KARACHI: While the Pakistan players and crowd were at the peaks of their lungs singing the national anthem ahead of the opening T20I match with West Indies, something unusual happened.

The national anthem stopped playing in the background and created an embarrassing moment.

Perhaps the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and ground staff was too concerned about the security arrangements that they forgot to double check the sound system. The national anthem was playing all good before it suddenly stopped in the middle.

However, the players and crowd were not held back despite the technical problem. They carried on singing the national anthem without the background music which made the scenes even more patriotic.

HERE’S THE VIDEO:

“The sound system failed mid anthem but thousands of fans on ground and the team finished off in style!” said a Twitter user.
