A man was allegedly stabbed in the back during a fight at a local pub and opted to return after being kicked out to keep on drinking instead of calling the police.

According to the Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesperson, two men started fighting that began at the Beerwah Hotel and moved out on the road, where a 20-year-old man stabbed another with a knife.

The QPS spokesperson said that two men were eventually kicked out of the pub for fighting. However, the victim decided to go back to the pub and kept drinking, while the knife stood still in his back.

He called the police later and was rushed to the hospital in a stable condition.

Police spokesperson said that the two men knew each other previously. She said a “substantial” amount of alcohol was involved while no charges have been laid.
