MUMBAI: One of Bollywood’s most loved couples, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expected to the tie the knot anytime between September and December, this year, new reports have suggested.
According to the Hindustan Times, both the actors are clearing their schedules for these months suggesting that the wedding may just be happening.
A source has been quoted as saying, “It will be an extremely private, traditional Hindu ceremony with the couple tying the knot in the presence of only close friends and family. The couple is still deciding if they want a reception to follow.”
It was, earlier, said that the parents of the two actors met around the release of their film Padmaavat in January and went on a vacation to the Maldives.
This is not the first time that rumours have been adrift regarding the couple’s marriage. Speculations around their nuptials have been in the news ever since Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli got married in an extremely private ceremony in Italy. Similarly, Sonam Kapoor and her beau Anand Ahuja have also continuously made headlines with rumours of their marriage.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh currently has his hands full with three mega projects: Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy alongside Alia Bhatt; Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, with Sara Ali Khan; and Kabir Khan’s film based on India’s unexpected win in the 1983 World Cup cricket in which he will be playing Kapil Dev.
Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, is doing a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero. Her other project with Vishal Bhardwaj and Irrfan Khan has been postponed due to Khan’s ill-health.
