ISLAMABAD: Fire that erupted in Kalanger Village on the Margalla hills on Friday evening has been extinguished, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
The Pakistan Armed Forces and Cabinet Division have been thanked for their assistance by the NDMA chairperson.
“Due to the efforts of Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Airforce and Cabinet Division no casualty was reported during the fire,” he said.
Capital Development Authority said that close to 100 firefighters and around 150 personnel from other relevant authorities participated in the extinguishing efforts. In addition, a total of four helicopters of Pakistan Army and air force were used to douse the fire.
