- MCI introduces valuable place with a long list of healthy, entertainment, recreational and amusement facilities
ISLAMABAD: The Metropolitan Club, prepared by renowned architect Nayyar Ali Dada, the recipient of Hilal-e-Imtiaz and Sitara-e-Imtiaz, in F-9 Park would be an outstanding addition to the recreational and amusement facilities in the federal capital.
Due to the expansion of the Islamabad and growth in population, the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) is committed to enhance the network of healthy recreational, amusement and entertainment facilities to all corner of the city. The Metropolitan Club is one of the kind facility, spread over an area of 22 acres with the covered area of 265,000 square feet.
The state-of-the-art facility has number of features including main entrance lobby, atrium, cigar lounge, lounge area, pantry and preparation kitchen, party hall, kitchen/pantry, ladies/gents toilets, restaurants, indoor pool area, electrical and mechanical room, gym and pool lobby, gymnasium, aerobic area, administration offices, main kitchen lift lobby, terraces, snooker area, snack bar area, men/women sauna, fitness centre and library.
The Suite Block consists of 56 rooms and terraces, interior garden, lift lobby, corridor, storage area, E&M room, Chinese restaurant, buffet area, dinning lounge, kitchen area, laundry area, and storage. The Auditorium Block of the club includes an auditorium for 450 persons, two conference rooms, canteen, kitchen and service area, makeup room and toilets, library, bakery, tennis courts, jogging track, outdoor swimming pool, face, external lawns and car parking area.
The Metropolitan Club is MCI’s valuable gift for the citizens of the federal capital with a long list of healthy, entertainment, recreational and amusement facilities. The club is planning on several similar projects for the residents of Islamabad, and the work on these projects would be started soon.
Mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Anser Aziz said that the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad would seek the suggestions from the public while initiating the development projects in the federal capital.
