KARACHI: The police arrested two members of a gang involved in stealing motorcycles while one managed to flee on Friday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) Asad Raza said that taking notice of the surge in motorcycles lifting/snatching incidents, operations were conducted in different areas of the metropolis.
He said that during such an operation two members of car lifter gang identified as Sohail Murtaza and Haroon were arrested while their one accomplice Shahjehan managed to escape.
The ACLC recovered 14 stolen/snatched bikes from custody of the detainees.
The recovered bikes were taken into custody and the detainees were being interrogated after registering cases against them.
