Five killed, six injured as jeep plunges into Neelum River

MUZAFFARABAD: Five people were killed and six injured when a jeep on its way to the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) plunged into the Neelum River in Muzaffarabad on Friday

According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle on an unpaved road after which the jeep fell into the river.

Rescue officials and local residents reached the spot of the incident soon afterwards and helped the injured out of the ill-fated vehicle and transferred them to a nearby hospital.

The hospital administration had confirmed the death of five people in the accident, while six are being treated for their injuries.
